A collaborative initiative led by the Puntland Highway Authority, in partnership with the @WFPSomalia and the #Ufeyn community, is currently underway to construct a 15km road known as #Jidlahelay Road. This road will serve as a vital link connecting Ufeyn with the agricultural haven of #Calmiskaad fields nearby. The mountainous terrain, rich in frankincense, boswellia and natural water sources, has so far lacked proper access, compelling residents to navigate the challenging landscape by camels, donkeys, and foot travel. The road’s construction will significantly improve the lives of both mountain dwellers and nearby communities by facilitating easier movement and access to vital resources, particularly during periods of drought.
